SCHREINER GUITARS - gsh series

If I had to name only two traits of the gsh guitars, it would be their tenacious sustain and their gracious, compact build. The supple body of a gsh with its smoothly shaped top and back fits perfectly to the player's physique. The overall impression of sleek intensity is underlined by the guitar's exceptionally thin neck (19mm 2nd fret!!) and refined curves.
When it comes to sound qualities the gsh really packs a punch. This type of guitar build, in combination with precisely wound humbucker pickups and solid hardware, has an open, direct sound and comes on strong with a persistent sustain. I honed this character by carefully choosing the woods for every particular instrument.

Alder's special sound qualities have made it a time-honored choice as a tonewood. It comes on loud and direct with a crunchy initial attack in all frequencies and a lot of sustain.

While basswood has a light, open sound, it also carries a bold, elastic twang. The maple top complements these sound features with a precise and nuanced upper range.

Beneath the sound qualities of the maple the cherrywood used in this guitar strengthens a compressed midrange bark and a resolute temper.
