    The bass guitars of the Spectre series impress through their elegance in design and playability. The thin and lightweight body joins a filigree and smooth neck to provide extraordinary comfort in terms of handling and feel.
    I have realized this type of bass guitar in several different combinations of wood, each one with a distinct sound character of its own.
    The common characteristics of this series are its wide frequency range, a crisply transparent sound, long sustain and strong string response. These qualities are enabled by an enhanced tension on bridge, nut and wood - strings through body, archtop bridge, angled neck and headstock make it happen.

    While the alder body sways by its powerful and warm directness at the bottom, the hard timbered ovangkol top takes care of a more sophisticated tone range in higher levels, giving a bouncy punch and a very special look.

    Laurelwood is my most recent find, and one i am very excited about. Beneath its beautiful grain it generates a steadily and elastically swinging tone with tenacious sustain. The maple top does what it does best and the rosewood fretboard forwards a warm and smooth attack.
